The accommodation brought back to life

Bandi Weekend House

The centuries-old building originally standing here on the western slope of Somló and the small vineyard around it were bought in 1946 by Endre Tornai, the founder of the Tornai Winery. This is how our story on the hill began. The winery has not been operating here for decades, and the old cellar has been revived as accommodation.

It was created with a lot of care, worthy of its great predecessor, and a really comfortable guest house with all comforts was born, with nicely furnished rooms, spacious common areas, and a cozy little cellar – so that the days here on Somló can be spent perfectly.

All rooms of the guest house are air-conditioned, and there are four guest rooms on the first floor, with separate bathroom entrances and anterooms. The rooms have 2 beds, but two of our family rooms can also be equipped with an extra bed on a comfortable pull-out couch, they will have a total of 4 beds. On the ground floor there is a shared kitchen and a vaulted cellar belonging to the rooms. The kitchen is mechanized (dishwasher, refrigerator, hotplate, oven, kettle, coffee maker, toaster), equipped with all the necessary equipment and comfort for cooking and eating, with Tornai wines in the wine cooler. Outdoor tables, armchairs, and sunbeds await our dear guests on our upstairs and downstairs terraces with a sumptuous panorama overlooking the Somló mountain and the Ilona chapel.
